Unbound

The moment Jesus called Lazarus from the tomb, everything changed. But there was one problem: Lazarus was alive, yet he was still wrapped in the clothes of death. So Jesus gave a simple command: “Take off the grave clothes and let him go.” John 11:44

Many of us know exactly what that feels like. We’ve experienced God’s saving grace, yet we still carry the weight of our old life. Shame still whispers. Fear still controls. Bitterness still lingers. Addictions, labels, guilt, and regret continue to wrap around us, keeping us from the freedom Jesus died to give.

Unbound is a five-week journey toward lasting freedom. Together, we’ll discover that Jesus not only brings us out of spiritual death but also transforms how we think, live, and walk each day. Through His word, you’ll learn to leave behind what no longer belongs to you, embrace your new identity in Christ, and experience the abundant life He has promised.

Open House

Come on in

Open House is your invitation to step inside and discover who Jesus is and what Vertical Church is all about. Whether you’re just curious, returning after time away, or already part of the family, this series walks through the “rooms” of the house to show you how God meets you right where you are and lovingly draws you deeper into Him. You don’t have to have it all figured out to walk through the door; just come and see.

As the weeks unfold, you’ll see how we live out our mission of Making More and Better Disciples of Jesus Christ and how that journey moves from simply showing up to truly belonging, growing, and making a difference. You’ll learn what matters most to us, how we follow Jesus together, and how you can take your next step. There’s a place for you here, and we believe you’ll begin to feel at home.

Teach Us To Pray

The Disciples watched Jesus preach, perform miracles, and confront religious leaders, yet the only thing they specifically asked Him to teach them was how to pray. They understood that Jesus’ public power flowed from His private intimacy. In this three-week series, we’ll sit at the feet of Jesus and learn not only how to pray but how to cultivate a life-giving relationship with our Heavenly Father. Whether prayer feels natural or awkward, consistent or sporadic, Jesus invites us to discover a prayer life marked by intimacy, surrender, persistence, and confidence.

Fool’s Gold

For centuries, gold has been prized as the ultimate measure of value. Entire civilizations were built, wars were fought, and lives were risked in its pursuit. Gold is rare, costly, and hidden beneath the surface, discovered only by those willing to dig. Yet scripture tells us there is something even more valuable than gold, silver, or the finest jewels: wisdom that comes from God.

God invites His people to dig deeper, moving beyond surface-level living to discover wisdom that transforms the heart, anchors the soul, and shapes a life that lasts. Biblical wisdom is not merely knowing more information; it is learning to see life from God’s perspective and to walk in reverent obedience to Him. It’s time to stop falling for fool’s gold and to demand the real treasure found in Christ.

America

Freedom without God isn’t Freedom at all!

As we celebrate our nation’s 250 years of freedom, we pause to reflect on where we experience true and ultimate freedom. As a nation, we were founded on the gospel of Jesus Christ, and on this Sunday, we will bring it all back to Him. As America celebrates its external freedom, we need to stay focused on the fact that Jesus came to bring eternal freedom.

GREATER

We live in a world that constantly invites us to focus on ourselves, our goals, our problems, and our opinions. But what if the breakthrough we need doesn’t come from looking inward but from looking upward? What if everything changes when we begin to see that God is greater?

In this powerful 5-week series, we’re turning our eyes to the greatness of our God, who is greater than our circumstances, greater than our fears, greater than our understanding, and certainly greater than ourselves. This isn’t a series about how big our problems are; it’s about how great our God is. If you desire to know Him more, worship Him more deeply, and live with renewed purpose and confidence, this series is for you. Bring your faith. Bring your questions. But most of all, bring your focus back to the God who is GREATER.
